Though Australia produces the basic varieties of flowers, most are consumed by the local market. It is the Novelty species of Beautiful Warratah, Pincushions, Hybrid Waxflower, Kangaroo Paws, Blushing Bride Protea, Stirlingia, Calycina and many Novelty Greens which find themselves onto the export market. The climate is tough in Australia and so are the flowers. Many of the above listed varieties have outstanding vase life and come in many different colors and varieties.

The roses we offer from Ecuador are considered some of the highest quality available. Our farms in Ecuador are two of only 28 farms of the approximately 300+ in Ecuador which use the “Green Label.” The “Green Label” is allowed only to those farms who meet strict Government guidelines regarding employment regulations, the environment and other local issues.

This flower market behemoth is a regular stop for Dorsey Floral. We have a minimum ot three shipments departing Holland per week enroute to Seattle. In Holland you will not only find the world's largest greenhouse horticulture industry but also the largest floral distribution network. Many European countries send their harvest to the Holland Auctions on a daily basis to be auctioned off and redistributed throughout the world. No where in the world will you find such a diversification of product. If you need a specific color of Tulip in the middle of winter or a Black Rose for that special client, we can ship it from Holland within 24 hours to Seattle. If the flower is currently grown around the world, it will be available in Holland and Dorsey Floral can deliver.

Colombia's perfect weather, rich soil, and overall equatorial location make it one of the best places in the world for rose production. At our farm in Colombia, temperatures hover around 24 C during the day and 8 C during the evening hours all year long -- an excellent balance for producing some of the finest quality roses in the world. The wide variety of stems produced there also benefit greatly from the pure clean rainwater from Colombia's location in the equatorial zone. As with our Ecuador farms, our Colombia farm is one of the few in the region allowed to use the coveted "Green Label."

New Zealand

Very close to Australia but as you know New Zealand is a world away! Gorgeous Cymbidiums, Vibrant Calla Liles in over 15 different colors, Pincushions, Nerine Lilies, Hydrangeas, Phalaenopsis, Sandersonia, Viburnum Snowball (in August!), and many different and unusual foliages.
